for baby’s warmth and safety!
What is Swaddling?

Swaddling is the art of snugly wrapping a baby in a blanket for warmth and security. It restricts movement of a baby’s arms and legs to prevent them from disturbing themselves by the moro or ‘startle’ reflex.
Our bamboo muslin swaddles are big enough to easily swaddle a newborn and baby and provide a gentle and calm transition from their mother’s womb to the outside world.
How to swaddle your BABY!
Four easy Steps

Step One

- Lay the swaddle in a diamond shape and fold the top corner down.
- Place baby in the center with their head above the fold and shoulders below.

Step Two

- Place the baby’s right arm, slightly bent, against their body.
- Take the swaddle from that side across baby’s chest.
- Tuck the edge under their body to secure the swaddle.

Step Three

- Fold the bottom of the swaddle up and over the baby’s feet.
- Pull the left side over and snugly tuck under baby, making sure to keep baby’s hips loose.
- Never pull their legs straight or force their joints as this could cause hip dyspepsia.

Step Four

- Place baby’s left arm, slightly bent, against their body.
- Take the swaddle from that side across baby’s chest.
- Tuck excess fabric under baby to secure the swaddle.
